Windshield Repair and Replacement in the Salt Lake Valley
In the state of Utah, a car’s windshield must be free from cracks that impede the driver’s view. This means that any crack that extends beyond six inches from the sides, top, or bottom of the windshield needs to be repaired or the windshield must be replaced.
Your windshield may have minor cracks that would pass a safety inspection, but you still may be uncomfortable driving with cracks and chips in your windshield, especially when they reflect the sun into your eyes when you’re trying to watch the road. Even windshields that have never been cracked or chips will become more and more difficult to see through as they acquire tiny dings and scratches from road debris.
If any of these windshield issues sounds familiar, reach out to Central Glass Company for windshield repair or replacement in Sandy, UT.

Depending on the size of the damage to your car’s windshield, you may be able to have it repaired instead of replacing the whole windshield. A standard windshield is made of two layers of glass. If only one layer has been damaged, it can be repaired with resin. If both layers of glass are damaged, your car will need a whole new windshield.
When you come to Central Glass Company, we’ll take a look at your windshield and recommend the best course of action. We’ll even work with your insurance company to see if they’ll help cover the cost of the repairs or replacement. It can be tricky to gather all the right documentation for an insurance claim, but we’ll make sure everything is taken care of.
